REGISTRATION IS OPEN for youth mission teams to participate in one of Hinton’s 2025 Summer Mission Outreach weeks. You’ll serve in and learn about our rural Appalachian community, worship, and have lots of fun. Mission teams arrive on a Sunday and serve Monday through Wednesday on Hinton’s Safe & Healthy Home Repair projects. These may include: building accessibility ramps, porches, and steps; underpinning mobile homes; painting; repairing floors; and helping with yard work. You may also get to serve in Hinton’s firewood lot, open year round, providing firewood for neighbors who need it for heating and/or cooking. Evening programs include worship, poverty awareness activities, staff-camper challenges, and Appalachian Culture Night. Groups can leave Thursday morning or opt to stay an additional night (for free!) to enjoy recreational activities in the area. Mission Outreach at Hinton emphasizes building relationships with our neighbors and walking alongside them. Through hands-on work and building relationships, mission team members open themselves up to being served and blessed in return.
The cost to attend is $425/person and includes lodging (rooms with bathrooms; sheets/towels provided), 11 meals, all supplies/tools/equipment, on-site staffing, program leadership/supplies, devo booklets, t-shirt, and more!
Early Bird Discount! — If first deposit is received by 12/1/24 and all forms turned in by 5/15/25, a 10% discount for the entire group is applied to the final payment amount. (For a group of 15, that’s a savings of $637.50!)
2025 Summer Mission Outreach registration is open until weeks are filled or by February 15, 2025. For more information and required forms, visit hintoncenter.org/mission-outreach/summer-mission-outreach/.
