SELAH . . . Pause, Interlude, Praise, Contemplate
Opportunities abound to breathe deep, exhale, commune with nature, rest and take in scenic views of Lake Chatuge and the Appalachian Mountains at this spring clergy retreat at Hinton Rural Life Center, Sunday through Thursday, March 8-12.
Following the Sunday evening welcome gathering and dinner by the lake, options for retreat participants include trails and gardens, “Creative Dabbling art room,” outdoor labyrinth, swim/fishing dock (canoes/kayaks available), meals and informal gathering times with clergy colleagues, and campus amenities that include disc golf, corn hole, fire pits, basketball, horse shoes, and rocking chairs on porches with scenic views. Resource persons for yoga, self-care, and ministry ideas will also be available throughout the retreat. Enjoy the local communities of Hayesville, Hiawassee, Young Harris, and Murphy, which offer great options for recreation, shopping, dining, and getting coffee, ice cream, and other treats. You can also schedule a therapeutic massage; info provided to those who have registered.
Registration opens Sept. 1; spots are limited. Clergy may register their spouse. Registration fee covers program offerings, resources, and amenities. Lodging options include a private room (queen bed) with ensuite bathroom in our Nadine Johnson Retreat House or one of our Hermitage cabins.
