Firewood Ministry Volunteers Needed!

With the recent bitter cold temps, there has been a huge need for firewood by many of our neighbors in Clay, Cherokee, and Towns counties who heat primarily with firewood. WE NEED INDIVIDUALS AND/OR GROUPS to help us cut, stack, and load firewood in our firewood lot off Hinton Center Road. If you can join our Woodchucker volunteers on Wednesdays, 9am-1pm, once or more a month, or schedule a group from your church/business/organization to help at another time, please contact Ricky Hill at ricky@hintoncenter.org or 828-389-8336. We also need help picking up donated wood and delivering to those unable to pick it up themselves. Please contact Ricky so we can benefit from your assistance as soon as possible. EVERYONE CAN HELP — we have had middle school youth through 80+ year-olds volunteer in our firewood lot. (We have log splitters!)
